Ways to Self-Soothe Without Food

Finding you’re turning to food for comfort, especially during the winter months? Here’s some tips on how to self-soothe without turning to food when you’re not truly hungry!

1) Soak a washcloth with hot/warm water (or cool if you prefer) and place over your eyes. Nice and relaxing!

2) Put some bergamot essential oil, which stimulates your endocrine system, which produces a sense of calm and well-being, and alleviates stress. Lavender can be combined with bergamot to enhance this calming effect.

3) Put a towel, sheet or your PJ’s in to the dryer for 10 minutes and wrap it around you or wear it.
